Stephen Ministry Training — Applications Now Open
June 15 All day

Stephen Ministry is one of the most meaningful ways our church cares for people who are hurting. Stephen Ministers are trained lay caregivers who walk alongside individuals experiencing grief, divorce, job loss, illness, or other life challenges. They listen, pray, encourage, and offer steady, confidential support. It is not counseling — it is Christ-centered care. As we say, the Stephen Minister is the caregiver; God is the curegiver.
Because many in our congregation and community are in need of this kind of care, we are preparing to launch a new Stephen Ministry training class. To ensure we have enough time to review applications, interview candidates, and order materials, we are inviting interested individuals to apply now.
What We’re Looking For
- A caring heart and a willingness to listen
- A commitment to walk with someone through a difficult season
- A desire to grow in Christian caregiving
- Availability to attend the full training series (shared individually with candidates)
Important Dates
- Application deadline: June 15. Interested applicants, contact Sharon.
- Candidate interviews and selection completed by July 14
- Training runs early August through mid‑September
- Materials cost: $55 (assistance available if needed)
If you feel God nudging you toward this ministry — or if you simply want to learn more — we would love to talk with you.
