EMERGENCY SUPPLY COLLECTION FOR CUBA

May 17 – May 31

We recently received an update from our contact in Cuba, Pastor Adel:

______

“Things are getting worse by the day; there are severe shortages, and we are almost constantly without electricity or water. It is a very severe crisis. We had been praying that God would open a door for us, and we are deeply grateful and happy because [the funding your church is sending] will now be able to provide help in the midst of this situation. You ask what you can pray for: please support us by praying for change in Cuba. We need it as soon as possible; things simply cannot go on like this. Everything has collapsed—hospitals, schools—and there are no resources to carry out our work. It is a reality of hunger, misery, and blackouts; people are dying, and there are no medications. The situation is critical.”

We have a contact here in Ohio that is working to fill a shipping container with critical items needed within the next few weeks.  We will have bins set up near the worship centers from May 17 through May 31. Please bring your donations BEFORE May 31.

Because it’ll take several months for the container to get to Cuba and clear customs, it is IMPERATIVE that items have an expiration date of AT LEAST one year or more.  Please pay close attention to expiration dates on any goods you’re donating. We are collecting ONLY the approved items below in order to expedite the customs process.

ONLY items we are collecting:

Children’s multi-vitamins (NOT gummy)

Powdered milk

Canned meat (chicken, tuna, beef, etc.)
