COVER OUR COMMUNITY: MILES OF PRAYER

February 18 – April 3

Cover Our Community is a Lenten prayer initiative inviting the RCC family to intentionally pray for the people and places that make up our community—one mile at a time.

From February 18 through April 3, during the season of Lent, participants are encouraged to walk, run, or drive through neighborhoods, streets, and familiar routes while praying for the individuals, families, schools, businesses, and organizations they pass along the way. Every mile traveled becomes a “mile of prayer,” symbolizing our desire to cover our community in God’s love, peace, and presence.

While you’re out praying for the community, invite them to our church for Easter. There will be business cards that list our Easter services available to pick up at Connection Centers that you can hand out to members of the community inviting them to join us at church.

As a church, our collective goal is to pray over 2,026 miles during the Lenten season—representing both our shared commitment to prayer and the year ahead. Whether you contribute one mile or many, every step counts toward covering our community in prayer.

Lent is a season of reflection, devotion, and renewal. As we move through our community with intention and prayer, we trust God to work in ways seen and unseen. Together, let’s unite to Cover Our Community—in prayer, in presence, and in hope.
