ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICES
February 18 All day
Please join us in the Bauserman Sanctuary on Wednesday, February 18, at either 12 pm or 6:30 pm, as we begin Lent with Ash Wednesday Services.
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season — a 40-day journey leading to Easter. It is a time for reflection, repentance, and preparing our hearts for the hope and joy of the resurrection.
During our Ash Wednesday service, we gather for prayer, worship, Scripture, and the imposition of ashes. The ashes, placed on the forehead in the shape of a cross, are a reminder that we belong to Christ. They symbolize both our humanity — “from dust you came, and to dust you shall return” — and the grace we receive through Jesus.
Ash Wednesday invites us to slow down, examine our hearts, and intentionally turn toward God. Whether Lent is a long-standing tradition for you or something new, this service creates space to begin the season with humility, gratitude, and renewed faith.
All are welcome as we begin this sacred season together.
