Baptism at Reynoldsburg Community Church

Your decision to follow Christ was a personal one that changed your life forever. However, that does not mean it was meant to be kept private. God calls those who have become Christ-followers to identify with His death, burial, and resurrection through baptism. Through baptism we bury the ‘old life’ and we rise to walk in a ‘new life’ with Christ. As a church family we celebrate this outward symbol of the commitment you made in your heart and want to support you on this step in your journey with Christ.

Three Ways to Experience Baptism

Sprinkle

The pastor will sprinkle water on your head as a symbolic gesture from the Old Testament.

Pour

The pastor will pour water from a vase over your head. A symbolic outpouring of the Holy Spirit as described in the Acts of the Apostles.

Immersion

You will be laid back and covered by water and raised again.  Immersion symbolizes that we are dead to our sin and our faith in Jesus has raised us to a new life.

However you choose to experience your baptism is acceptable and celebrated.  We offer sprinkling and immersion regularly during our worship celebrations.

Babies and Children

We baptize children of all ages and welcome them into our church family.  The baptism of a child is a vivid and compelling witness to prevenient grace.  If you are a parent looking to have your child baptized please fill the form out below.

Remembering Your Baptism

God was present in your fist baptism and will always keep His promises to you.  However, we do offer the opportunity for you to “remember” your baptism through a reaffirmation of your baptismal vows.  Please fill out the form below to express your interest.
