This mission is not just something we believe; it is something we live out. This Lenten season, we are participating in Cover Our Community, a prayer initiative that encourages us to pray for the neighborhoods, businesses, and schools in our community as we walk, run, or drive through them. Mile by mile, street by street, we are asking God to move in our homes, our city, and our hearts. You can still join in this effort of reaching 2,026 miles during Lent by logging your miles on our website here or by texting the word “MILES” to 614-866-5864.

Now Easter sends us even further. As we pray over our community, we also want to reach beyond it. Saturday, April 11 is our annual One Feeds One food packing event when we will package thousands of non-perishable meals for families around the world. The same hands lifted in prayer will pack food. The same hearts burdened for our city will give so others may live. You can participate in this effort in either or both of two ways: 1) register to pack food items during our morning or afternoon shifts, and/or 2) provide financial resources to offset the cost of food supplies by clicking GIVE and indicating ONEFEEDSONE in the “Other” box. Regardless of how you choose to participate, thank you for helping us reach beyond our community to help feed those in need.

Prayer is the love that moves us outward. Generosity multiplies the impact. Resurrection changes our hearts and compels us forward.

I want to invite you this Easter season to take your next step. Will you make time to walk and pray? Will you find opportunities to serve and give? Will you join me for our Holy Week special worship gatherings listed below? Or maybe it’s time to be part of a church that refuses to stand still? Because the tomb is empty, hope is alive, and God is not finished with us yet. Thank you for being a church that loves boldly and lives faithfully. He is risen indeed!

With gratitude and confidence,

Bill Weaver
